Multi-Peril Crop Insurance

Multi-Peril Crop Insurance is regulated and subsidized by the Federal Government on most crops grown in most counties in the United States.

The purpose of Crop insurance is to protect the farmer’s crops’ against causes of losses out of their control: fire, flood, drought, hail, insect and plant disease, frost, and adverse weather. 

A Multi-peril policy is taken out on a crop annually, allowing the farmer to alter coverage and plans from year to year depending on the need of the operation.
